Phase 1 – November 2022 (Pilot Engagements)

These initial engagements laid the foundation for multi-stakeholder collaboration on combating illicit alcohol and strengthening regulatory awareness at the county level.

This phase reinforced earlier engagements and deepened stakeholder collaboration on enforcement, public awareness, and regulatory compliance.

Phase 3 – June 2023 (Eastern Region Expansion)

This phase expanded ABAK’s reach across the Eastern Region, focusing on strengthening inter-agency coordination and addressing the prevalence of illicit alcohol distribution in both urban and rural markets.

This phase focused on deepening enforcement collaboration and enhancing county-level awareness on regulatory compliance and consumer protection.

This phase strengthened sustained engagement with central region counties, reinforcing previous commitments and advancing coordinated enforcement approaches.

Phase 6 – June 2025 (Western Region)

These engagements expanded ABAK’s sensitization efforts into Western Kenya, focusing on cross-border challenges, illicit trade dynamics, and enforcement coordination.
